Spoiler Alert : Mama Earth is Saved

This Poem was written from a prompt from Chelsie Diane who hosts Poems and Power, a writing group that i am part of on line. This was part of a workshop on manifesting and how our words can shape the world. Thats what we’re trying to do here. Shape the world in the image of the stories we share here.

Spoiler alert... mama Earth is saved.
We collectively do so much good that the climate crisis is reversed
The enzyme that eats plastic, eats all the plastic...
The seas are clear and the fish are abundant.
We stopped mining mama earth for her jewels and found new ways.
We divested from all the things we knew we should.
Governments are run by woman and woke lefties and queer folks...
Men return to the field and their families to do the work they were born to do.
Communities knit together again and everyone lives off grid..
harnessing the sun and the wind and planting fruit trees into the rich rich earth
That pile of clothes in the desert got cleaned up..
The hungry, got fed.
The homeless got homes.
The lonely made friends.
We stopped using pharmaceuticals for everything.. and remembered our deep
Knowing of the plants.
Our children played
Outside
All day.
We didn't quiz them in class rooms
Or tell them they were failing.
We loved them.
For each of their own individual spirits.
We all found our space and our place.
We all lit a fire in the hearth
We lit fires in our hearts
And kept them alive... for all of us...
Mama Earth is green and abundant and gorgeous.
Spoiler alert, Mama Earth is not spoiled.
